Microcurrent is a low-level, soothing current that mimics the body’s natural current and can provide instant and cumulative results. What are the benefits of the devices for the skin?

Is it a women-founded brand?

Yes. Carol Cole and her daughters, Tera Peterson and Kim Morales, created NuFACE out of their home in Encinitas, CA. Carol, a licensed aesthetician, began her career in 1985 at the famed Golden Door destination spa in Escondido, CA. While administering treatments, she heard common anti-aging concerns from her clients such as sagging eyelids, loss of contour and simply “tired of looking tired”. With this knowledge in hand, Carol started specializing in microcurrent facials and traveled weekly to Los Angeles to serve the most discerning clients in Hollywood. She soon recognized her clients’ need for more frequent microcurrent treatments so in 2005, Carol and her daughters (Tera – also an aesthetician), launched NuFACE for their clients to use at-home in between their professional microcurrent facials. Clients started telling their friends about NuFACE and those friends told their friends and quickly NuFACE became a cult beauty favorite!

Can I use the NuFACE devices with my skincare products? What products should I use with it?

Yes. All the NuFACE devices works synergistically with many skin care lines. Do not use oil-based skin care products before your NuFACE Trinity Facial Trainer and NuFACE Mini treatment as the oil may prohibit the optimal delivery of microcurrent. For advanced results, apply your favorite NuFACE Serum before you apply the NuFACE Primer.

How does the light therapy work?

Red light therapy is a proven method of reducing fine lines and wrinkles, backed by numerous research and clinical studies. In aesthetic applications, red light is often emitted through LEDs (light emitting diodes) which produce light energy with very little heat, providing a non-invasive, comfortable experience for the client. It is a safe and effective technology for clients who wish to naturally reduce fine lines and wrinkles and improve their overall appearance. Optimal red light therapy results are achieved with regular use, with the most noticeable reduction of fine lines and wrinkles occurring at 6-8 weeks of treatment.

Does the device cause any pain/sensations?

Because microcurrent works sub-sensory, the treatment is soothing, and most clients feel nothing at all.

What are the differences between the devices NuFACE carries?

The NuFACE Trinity and Mini devices help improve facial contour, facial tone and reduce wrinkles in as little as five minutes a day. The Trinity Device has interchangeable attachment capabilities. The NuFACE FIX Device helps visibly firm, smooth, and tighten the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles providing a more targeted treatment for the eyes, mouth and forehead. Who do you recommend NuFACE products for? (age range, skin type, etc.)

Our NuFACE Microcurrent devices are suitable for use with all skin types and people looking to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Our microcurrent devices are great for a women in her 20’3-30’s as a preventative beauty tool to contour, lift the brows and perfect the pout. For more mature skin, (women 40+) this is a great anti-aging solution to reduce wrinkles, improve skin contour and define the jawline.

Can the NuFACE devices be used if I have had any cosmetic surgeries?

NuFACE microcurrent devices are FDA-cleared for facial stimulation. For patients who are planning to or have had recent surgical facelifts, laser treatments, Botox and/or injectables, you should consult your doctor before using our device.

How often should I use NuFACE devices?

NuFACE devices are safe and gentle enough for everyday use, either morning or night. We recommend using NuFACE devices once in a 24-hour period, for 5-20 minutes per treatment. For the first 60 days we recommend using NuFACE 5 times per week; after 60 days or after desired results are met, we recommend 2-3 times per week for maintenance.
